There are many clones of Memory game where
you pair up images by remember the positions of the cards
when you see them. Memorix stands out because its large selection
of skins and the game is free. Developed by Markus Dresch,
Memorix inherited the traditional Memory game play, but doesn’t
stop there.
You can create your own skins (images you
need to pair up) by using the tool provided by the developer.
Download the zip file, replace the 22 bmp images with your
own, and make your images for Palm at 22 x 23 and Clie 44x46.
The .bat file will create a pdb file for you. Load the pdb
file, you are done.
There are over 20 standard and hi-res skins
available for downloading from the developer’s site
and you can add yours to the list. The ability of changing
the images in a Memory game is not only nice but also necessary.
I can’t play more than a few Memory games at one time
because the memory of the card positions will blur between
all the games. Having different images solve this problem.
You can mix up the images of Simpsons characters with Chinese
symbols, or flags with StarTrek ships. Among the available
skin collections, you will see Car and Trucks, Planets and
Aliens, lots of cartoons, Star War faces and ships, Japanese
buildings and more.
There are four levels in Memorix: Easy
level gives you 2 minute limit, Normal 1:30, Hard 1 minute
and No Stress that has no time limit.
Memorix supports all Palm OS devices including
Hi Res Clie and QVGA HandEra 330. And remember, for all that,
you pay nothing! If you run the prc file off of a storage
card, make sure your pdb files are loaded in the main memory.
Playing Hints and Tips:
Download a few skins you like and
switch skins between games.
