Aldon's Crossing, by Constant Games $19.95
Reviewed April 2002

Aldon's Crossing is one of the most sophisticated RPG games for Palm. The most active Palm RPG fans are playing or have played this game. The game design is very well thought out and there are many, many levels. You'll travel through more than 145 different maps, and meet over 100 characters with whom you'll interact. There are more than 30 different enemies you will battle. Your character can be a member of one of 3 different races (Human, Dwarf or Elf), male or female, and of 4 different classes (Fighter, Thief, Priest and Mage). You can also cast 50 spells (such as Heal, Summon, Fireball) and choose any weapons (both melee and ranged). There are ton of items you can find. And you can also hire henchmen and find pets to aid you in your quest. As massive as this game is, you can actually play the game from a memory card without experiencing slowdowns- amazing!!

If you enjoy playing games like Summoner, Baldur's Gate, or Golden Sun, you should check out this game!!

Aldon's Crossing screen shot
Graphics Very realistic, has that RPG look and feel.
Sound N/A None. Who needs sound in a RPG game?
Fun Meter This is a full-blown RPG for Palm with extensive levels, character development and action at every turn. It doesn't get much better than this. You'll have plenty of adventure before you finish the game. And with all that, I don't have to pay $50 for a PS2 RPG?
Addictivity Well, you won't put it down until you finish the game. Replay value is high because the game developers give you 3 races and 4 classes of characters you can develop. You'll feel left out if you only played as a Thief, but not as a Mage or a Fighter or a Priest.
