The first impression I had on this carrying case was that I truly could pack every gadget into a single case when I’m out of the office. The Road Warrior PDAPak from Office On The GoGo has more pockets than you will need and large enough to stash the bulkiest PDA, keyboard, cables, mobile phones and more into this compact size bag. Depending on how many gadgets you have and what you need to carry, you can choose a case that fits your load from three available sizes. We received the “mid-size” Road Warrior case for the review.

Road Warrior PDAPak is made of ballistic nylon. The material feels very durable and stitching well done. There are stiff inserts on both side of the case to prevent bending and to protect your PDA and other gadgets in the case. All of the pocket covers on this case are closed by velcro strips, and the case itself has a double directional zipper. You can carry the case either by the suitcase handle or the shoulder strap.

There are 6 pockets inside of the case, three on each side. These include 2 cell phone (candy bar not clamshell) size pockets, 2 accessory pockets that can fit a Stowaway keyboard in each one, a PDA pocket that fit a Dell Axim X5, and a zippered storage card compartment combine with 2 credit car/business card slots. There is also a stylus strap and a keychain. On the outside, you will find four different compartments. One large zippered pocket occupy on side of the bag for any paper, tickets, money, ID type of stuff. On the other side, you will find a cell phone pouch, a paper notepad pack and an open slot where you have the access to your PDA without having to open the zippered bag.

This “two-way window” feature is unique to PDAPak series. Once you placed your PDA into the PDA pocket, you can use the PDA either from inside of the case through the clear plastic cover or by opening the cover on the outside. Your PDA will be secured by an elastic strip, and there is a stylus slot for an easy access to your stylus.

These PDAPak cases come in three sizes and prices range from $30-$50. Office On The GoGo has a leather version of the Road Warrior PDAPak coming out soon. If you need a magnifying glass in order to see your PDA screen better, Office On The GoGo also sells a PDA screen magnifier called Magnifico. Check their web site for more details on this product.

Conclusion

I’ve been looking for a case that will house all my gadgets and accessories in one place when I travel. Road Warrior PDAPak certainly is an excellent choice because it has a large number of compartments yet compact in size when everything is tucked in. The case looks professional and easy to carry. While it’s very convenient to look up a phone number or use the calculator for a quick math with the PDA in the case, you really need to take it out of the case if you need use any of the ports.
