Intellisync Mobile Suite - Exchange/Mailboxes inaccessible


I am a newbie to supporting Intellisync mobile suite (version 5) so please bear with me.

The Intellisync mobile sync application is not allowing the PDA handsets to sync to Exchange and 'Test Access' gives error 'Exchange/Mailboxes inaccessible.

the company who did the installation and I have tried everything without any joy for the last week.

Please help. the documentation I have does not have any infromation on how to troubleshooting and I have not found any information helpful on the net.
