I recommend going with a WiFi router. Good routers don't cost much more than WiFi cards for your PC, and they give you so much more flexibility and security. I further recommend getting one that includes an SPI firewall for greater security. For simple Internet connections, you don't need 802.11g support (PDA's don't support g anyway), and 802.11b routers have become incredibly inexpensive and easy to set up.
