Sorry to hear about your PDA difficulties. As far as I know, without the password you are stuck doing a hard reset. Unfortunately, this will erase everything and restore it to factory settings, which I realize may be inconvenient - but protecting the data is the point of having a password in the first place.

I can't find any info about how to hard reset that particular model, but instructions for a variety of models can be found here.
