Just a note to say "Thanks!" for this tip. My job requires me to be both online and available by phone, not one or the other. Couldn't do this without this help.

Just a note for others: I couldn't use the ActiveSync 4.0 installer to get the product installed, so I copied the entire directory over to my phone and then tried to launch each file. The first few didn't install successfully, but I finally did get one to install OK. The file that worked for me was "regedit_Mrln_ARM.CAB".
