Griffin Technology Inc., creator of all things iPod, today announced the company began shipping two new speaker systems for iPod - Amplifi and Journi. This release marks Griffin's official entry into the expanding portable media player speaker business.

Amplifi (TM) is a high-tech contemporary styled 2.1 sound system.With its compact tabletop footprint, sturdy wood-based construction, and acoustically tuned enclosure, this system is sure to rock your tunes in any room.

Amplifi will happily accept audio input from almost any source through its built-in 3.5mm (1/8") input jack. But Amplifi is especially friendly to iPod, with a convenient docking port on top, and 6 adapters/spacers for a secure fit
for any iPod model from iPod mini to 5th generation iPod with video.

To top it off, Amplifi comes with its own slim IR remote.
