According to Taiwan based Digitimes report, 802.11n chip are in short supply till the end of May. The report quoting a Chinese-language commercial report. Networking IC designer Realteck Semiconductor has increased 802.11n chip orders to two Taiwanese companies thanks to strong netbook sales in China, India and other emerging markets. According to the report, in addition to Realtek, 802.11n chip suppliers Ralink Technology, Broadcom and Atheros Communications have also increased their orders to foundries and back-end companies which has spurred recruitment and extended working hours.
