HP Mini 311 Series Netbooks Now Available with NVIDIA ION LE Graphics

HP today released the HP Mini 311 series netbooks powered by Intel Atom N270/N280 processor with the NVIDIA ION LE graphics card. The netbook weighs 3.22 pounds, has an 11.6-inch HD display and 5-in-1 card reader. The HP Mini 311 netbooks start at $399.99. If you add built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11n to the N280 configuration, the netbook is about $475. It will also take a while for HP to ship the built-to-order for this model. If you built one today you will get it between the first and second week of October. There is also a very affordable external Blu-ray option with Lightscribe that costs $129.

Main features of the HP Mini 311 include:

- A polished black (or optional white) swirl imprint finish
- Easy access3 to e-mail, instant messaging, video chat, social networking, shopping, banking, and more
- An Intel Atom processor for reliable, energy-efficient performance
- 1GB system memory and a 160GB4 hard drive
- Transfer of data to/from other devices via three USB ports
- Integrated HP QuickSync software, which lets you sync files, photos, and videos with your primary PC when connected to the same network

* Built-in VGA and HDMI ports for connecting to an external monitor or HDTV
