Verizon has premiered a new TV commercial that pokes fun at Apple's "There's an app for that" App Store ads.

There's a fine line between "clever parody" and "offensive ripoff," but at least in my perception, this ad lands on the wrong side of that line. I find it to be a rather surprising choice by Verizon, not only because Apple is sometimes known to be highly litigious, but also because the parody references the App Store, an Apple/AT&T feature that Verizon (arguably) has no real answer to.
