Video review: Lenovo ThinkPad X201 Tablet

Lenovo's ThinkPad X201 convertible tablet PC is now available for order on their website. The X201 features a serious CPU bump from the X200 and offers three display options: the standard wide-view LED backlit LCD (270 nit brightness), the multi-touch plus active digitizer and the outdoor viewable (400 nit brightness) option.

The standard machine configuration includes a 2.13GHz Intel Core i7 640LM low power dual core, 4 thread CPU that can ramp up to 2.9GHz. supports virtualization and consumes on 25 watts (that's pretty low).

It uses DDR3 1066MHz RAM up to 8 gigs, has Intel GMA HD integrated graphics and comes with Intel WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth and gigabit Ethernet. Mobile Broadband is optional.

Here's our 9 minute video review of the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 tablet. It's no doubt a lust-worthy tablet in terms of build quality and display. Ours has the outdoor viewable option, and we take it outside under sunny skies to test it out. We also take a walk around the machine and compare it with the HP Touchsmart TM2 which costs half the price but can't compete when it comes to display quality.
