So the EVO has a sharper display?

The EVO is nice (most likely the best phone around right now) but it's just too big for my taste. For me a 4 inch screen is max (that's why I also like the X10). The EVO also seems a tad thick and I don't like the pointy edges or the red accents on it...the Galaxy might not be as "high-end" as the EVO but it's thinner, rounder, more pocketable, and it's new interface (the whole S Life thing) seems pretty fresh and cool...
