Review: Sony Dash

The Sony Dash is like no other, to borrow Sony's old tag line. Well, it's a little like the Chumby and in fact it runs on the Chumby platform with Sony's Bravia Internet Video services added on. The Dash is a home internet device or lifestyle gadget that uses its WiFi connection and nearly 1,500 free applications to keep you in touch with news, weather, sports, gossip, streaming music and radio. The 7" capacitive touch screen is dazzling and shows off Netflix and Amazon streaming video perfectly while the stereo speakers are good enough for a little Slacker and Pandora Radio love. Is it a kitchen recipe keeper, a personal video player, a photo frame or a really fancy clock radio? it's all those and more.
