How could anyone forget that the AmazonKindle is cheaper making it better than the ipad's ibooks by a landslide.
Based on the wording of the question, I was considering it from the POV of someone who already owns an iPad, in which case just downloading the (free) Kindle app would be cheaper than buying a Kindle (although there are still lots of reasons the Kindle might be worth getting).
