Barnes and Noble releases NOOK app for iPhone and iPod touch

If you recall, Barnes and Noble was in the process of updating and renaming their eBook reader software for mobile devices and desktops. Now named NOOK, just like their dedicated e-ink reader, the application offers some cool new features that bring iPad NOOK reader goodies to the iPhone and iPod touch.

New features include font and theme selection, brightness control, line spacing and justification control and more. You can also use the LendMe feature to lend and receive loaned books from your friends. The reader will sync the last read page across reader platforms too.

It's available free in the iTunes store.
