More info from U.S. Cellular:

The Galaxy Tab has a vibrant 7-inch WSVGA TFT touchscreen and is powered by a 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird Application processor. It features two cameras, a 3 megapixel camera on the back with autofocus and zoom, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.

The Galaxy Tab operates on the Android 2.2 platform. Pricing and data packages will be announced at a later date.

The cutting-edge device runs on the Android platform and is the perfect gift for consumers craving an immersive multimedia, messaging and music experience. The Galaxy Tab?s vibrant 7-inch touchscreen expands the interactive space to play games, watch movies, read books and browse the Web with stunning clarity and control, but is still small enough to hold in one hand. Pricing and availability will be announced soon.

U.S. Cellular?s version of the Galaxy Tab is backed by its nationwide 3G network and all the valuable benefits of The Belief Project, which is a series of industry-first initiatives developed to elevate the wireless experience and fix the frustrations wireless customers have with their carriers, one project at a time.
