MetroPCS Introduces the Huawei Ascend Android Smartphone

MetroPCS today introduced a new Android smartphone to its line up, the Huawei Ascend Sanctioned by TapouT. The Huawei Ascend Sanctioned by TapouT was designed in partnership with popular mixed martial arts and lifestyle brand TapouT, and will be available within the next few weeks. The Huawei Ascend runs Android 2.2 (Froyo), has a 3.5" touchscreen and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Here is more info:

The Huawei Ascend Sanctioned by TapouT is available with MetroPCS $50 and $60 smartphone service plans, which include taxes and fees. Along with two interchangeable external covers bearing the TapouT logo, users will have a chance to interact with 10 virtual training center videos, 12 static wallpapers, five live wallpapers and an Android application exclusive to the handset. Now consumers can not only interact with the brand within the handset, they can also showcase their love of the sport and the TapouT brand with the uniquely designed covers.

Finished in high gloss black with matte black casing, the Huawei Ascend Sanctioned by TapouT features the iconic TapouT logo emblazoned on the back of both covers, one in tonal black and the other in dark grey with the cage graphic frequently seen on TapouT merchandise. The handset is powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo), features a large 3.5 inch touchscreen and a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera and camcorder, and comes with a 2GB microSD memory card.
