Sony Mobile and Sony/RED distributed music artist Metric debuted a crowdsourced music video for the title track from Metric's latest album Synthetica. The music video was shot entirely on the Xperia ion, Sony's first 4G LTE smartphone available exclusively on ATT, and showcases its HD everywhere experience that is brought to life on the Xperia ion from Sony.

The music video features a rare acoustic performance of the song "Synthetica" shot live at Hotel on Rivington's penthouse in New York City. Audience members were given Xperia ion smartphones and were encouraged to unleash their creativity as they filmed the performance. The footage was directed by Chris Lenox Smith, known for his work with artists, Passion Pit, TV on the Radio and My Morning Jacket.
