Verizon to Release Pantech Perception Android Smartphone on April 25

Verizon Wireless today announced the new Pantech Perception Android smartphone will be available on April 25. The Global Ready Pantech Perception with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich (soon to be upgraded to Jelly Bean) will be available online at www.verizonwireless.com and in stores for $99.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and new two-year customer agreement beginning April 25. The Pantech Perception features Motion Sense, touchless access and navigation, Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, (soon to be upgraded to Jelly Bean) a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED screen, an 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front, 16GB storage, and works on Verizon's 4G LTE network.

The Motion Sense technology lets users wave a hand over the phone to answer a call, scroll through contacts, change a song being played or find a picture from their library.
