Asus Republic of Gamers G750JX 17" Haswell Laptop Review

There are a few go to models for gaming laptops: the Asus Republic of Gamers or ROG series, Alienware, Razer Blade, MSI's GT70 and the crossover Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 and Y510. The Asus ROG G750JX offers the company's usual combo of value and killer features, and for $1,500 you get a well made machine with the powerful NVIDIA GTX 770M graphics card, a 2.4GHz Haswell quad core i7-4700HQ, 12 gigs of RAM, a 7200 RPM HDD (SSDs are optional), dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and a full HD matte display with wide color gamut. Nice.

We've put the Asus ROG G750JX through 10 days of gaming torture tests and it survived BioShock Infinite, Skyrim, Crysis 3 and more easily. If you're looking for a gaming rig that can also handle HD video editing, CAD work, productivity and not look too flashy for the office, the G750 is worth a look.
