Clie' use with Macintosh

Just bought a new Clie' SJ30. There is no need to buy Missing Sync in order to use this pda with the Mac. Just discard the Sony CD and download Palm OS 4.0 for Mac from the Palm website.
Sync as usual: plug in Clie' to USB port, open Palm Desktop, and it works great!

Oddly, it works for some folks and not others. Go figure. It's always worth a try before buying MissingSync in case you're one of the lucky ones!

If you're using Jaguar, you can use iSync too, though it doesn't offer all the features of Palm Desktop or MissingSync products.

but what about the other software like to view photos and things like that- how do you get versions of those for the mac?

MissingSync is pretty cool. It syncs photos with iPhoto and MP3s with iTunes on the Mac. So you can use those standard Mac OS X "iApps" with your Clie.

Re: Clie' use with Macintosh

I agree that Missing Sync for the Mac is a fabulous program! However, I have one question. Is it possible to import photos onto my G4 Tower or my PowerBook that I've taken with my Cli? NX80V and have saved directly onto the handheld itself? I see in the Missing Sync manual where you can import photos from a MEMORY STICK with iPhoto, but no instructions about how to import photos from the handheld itself.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me with this problem! :-D
