syncing notes from xv6700

My calendar and contacts are syncing normally. However, notes and "files" are not being shared from pc to device and vise versa. My last Pocket PC device created a sharing file on my desktop. I have been unable to create a file like that for this device.
When I go to the device ActiveSync options menu, the "notes" and "files" box are greyed out.
Can someone guide me out of my set-up errors?

Aaaaaand...nevermind. I figured it out. I'm embarrassed at the simplicity of the fix.
