Dell Foldable Keyboard

DESPERATE, PLEASE HELPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PROBLEM: Use of arrow keys in Dell Foldable Keyboard will cause the keyboard to lock. To unlock, a soft reset is needed, followed by enabling the foldable keyboard in the appropriate icon under programs. Problem most evident when used with calendar application on the axim, but other pocket applications as well (tasks, notes etc). After a hard reset, when I activesync everything except than my calendar info, the foldable keyboard works fine. If I try to active-sync calendar info between the notebook and the axim, then the problem arises again.

HARDWARE USED: Dell Axim x5, Dell Foldable Keyboard Rev AO2, Dell Latitude D 505 notebook, all purchased February 2004 from Dell.

SOFTWARE USED: No third party software used. Only software used is the one included in the package from Dell, namely, Microsoft Outlook 2002 and Activesync and Dell foldable Keyboard driver (US) V 2.07 July 2003 REV A00.

SOLUTIONS NOT WORKING:
1 Hard reset on the axim and reinstalling the keyboard driver will not solve the problem.
2 Have tried (a) Dell foldable Keyboard driver (US) V 2.07 July 2003 REV A00 included in the package from Dell, (b) latest-current driver REV AO3 downloaded from Dell download site (R67221.exe), (c) Previous driver than the most current one from Dell download site (d) foldable keyboard driver for the axim x3 instead of the axim x5. All drivers were installed after uninstalling the previous drivers and hard reset. After each hard reset, keyboard drivers were installed both before and after active-syncing the standard axim applications (calendar, contacts, notes, etc). TO NO AVAIL.
3 Use of a 2nd new foldable keyboard along with a 2nd refurbished Axim x5 from Dell did not solve the problem. It appears this is NOT a hardware problem.
4 Tried allocating more memory for software applications on my axim settings, TO NO AVAIL.
5 Uninstalling / Reinstalling / Repair / Add remove features for Microsoft Outlook 2002 and Activesync accompanying software on my notebook did not solve the problem. Each time Outlook was installed first and then Activesync second on the Latitude notebook, as per the installation instructions.
6 My regional settings are US both in my Axim and in the notebook.

ONLY SOLUTION WORKING (alas undesirable): After a hard reset, as long as I do not activesync between calendar and Outlook 2002, the keyboard works fine. Alas, I need to activesync calendar, so I can see my appointments on my notebook as well.
