QTEK 9090 Firmware upgrades

I am looking to update my firmware - my problem is that when I search the web, I ge so many conflicting stories about files working and not - very confusing.
I have gone to qtek's ome page and they will not let me register as they say my device was not purchased from "brighspot"?
Any suggestions ( Other than flinging this device against the wall!)

Hello David,
I'm not sure where you're looking, but I wouldn't generally recommend getting firmware updates from anywhere other than your carrier or the web site of the device manufacturer (which may not even exist in this case). Since you didn't specify your carrier, I couldn't find many specifics when I researched your question.

Well, I waited a few months and kept searching the WEB only too find that my situation has not changed. I have a QTEK 9090 (unlocked) and have been reading a bunch of postings on firmware upgrades, yet many do not seem to be directly applicable to my model.
Basically my situation is this, I purchased the device in Sweden ( while on business) - I use it with TMOBILE as the carrier. Looks like I am in a "difficult situation" when it comes to support....
