which laptop?

Hi mobiletechreview!

especially to Lisa G. I love your video reviews and I love the gadgets that I currently have , all of them bought because of the explanations that Lisa G. give out in he reviews.

I wanna buy a laptop for this Christmas and I wanna consult your expertise cause I have a limited budget. I want a laptop that's capable of playing games life need for speed, nba 2k13, call of duty etc. and that's also capable of the multimedia stuff without any lags. my budget is between 450-500$.

thanks and more power to you guys!

Re: which laptop?

It's honestly hard to find a capable gaming notebook in that price range. You'll mostly be looking at Intel HD integrated graphics or lower end AMD dedicated GPU offerings on AMD CPU models.

Re: which laptop?

Generally, for new issue models, something with a pretty fast CPU and a decent dedicated GPU run $1,000 and up. If you go for the last gen model (with computers that might only be a 4 month old model!) you can save $100 to $200 off that price.

One of the most affordable yet really powerful machines at a the $1,000 mark is the Lenovo IdeaPad Y580. Not super thin or pretty but it has a lot of bang for the buck.

Re: which laptop?

If you get the 17r with the Nvidia GeForce GT 630M it's pretty decent. Not a killer graphics card but good enough to keep frame rates decent in many current games.
