Samsung Epix Wi-Fi question
I have AT&T as my service provider and am looking to upgrade from an original Blackjack to an Epix or Blackjack II. I mainly text and presently don't have a data plan on my phone. My question is if I get the Epix with no internet through AT&T can the phone still use WI-FI in my home and other hotspots? The idea is to save the extra $$ and not have to pay AT&T for the internet when I can use faster WI-FI thats all over...Thank you for your help

You do NOT need a data plan to use WiFi on the Epix or any other WiFi-enabled phone on AT&T or any other carrier for that matter .
However, most carriers, including AT&T, try hard to push a smartphone data plan with a smartphone, so you'll probably have to say "no, no, no" to the sales folks. Also, most smartphone rebates require a data plan, so you might not be eligible for any available rebates (read the fine print on any rebates to be sure).
