In 2013, Apple released Mac OS X 10.9 "Mavericks," which revolutionized the computer industry and also started a new trend of naming releases of Mac OS X after landmarks in California. Apple is now proud to share its future plans for OS X.
In 2014, OS X 10.10 "Golden Gate" will be your bridge to the future. Then in 2015, 10.11 "La Brea Tar Pits" is likely to stick around. In 2016, users will be unable to escape 10.12 "Alcatraz" - that is, until they decrease power consumption in 2017 with 10.13 "Watts."
2018 will bring users the chance to explore 10.14 "Carlsbad Caverns," and in 2019 we'll shake things up with 10.15 "San Andreas."
Finally, we are announcing the most advanced and powerful version of Mac OS ever. Slated for 2020, we just know you're going to love 10.16 "Olive Garden Parking Lot."
