We got to spend some quality time with the Dell Streak 7 at NVIDIA's booth and at T-Mobile's press event at CES in Las Vegas. The Dell Streak 7, as you'd imagine, looks much like a larger Dell Streak 5", though not as impressively thin (we're not calling it chubby though).
The 7" Gorilla Glass display was on par with the original Streak's-- it's sharp and bright but there's no Super AMOLED miracle color effect. With a little brain surgery, the Streak 7 gains impressive processing power courtesy of the Tegra 2 processor with GPU (NVIDIA was demoing 3D games on the Streak 7).
The Streak 7 has T-Mobile HASPA+ 4G, but alas it's only running Android OS 2.2 Froyo. We're hoping it gets the magical upgrade to Honeycomb 3.0 since the hardware specs are 3.0-compliant. What may slow that upgrade down is Dell's Stage UI customization of Android. If you've seen some of Dell's all in one PCs, the Stage UI will look familiar. It's quite nice and we enjoyed using it on the Streak 7.
