Amazon Kindle Fire HD Full Review

It's hard not to enjoy using Amazon's latest tablet, the 7 inch Kindle Fire HD. It's simply a pleasure to use if reading, watching movies, listening to music, web browsing and email are your thing. Particularly if you're an Amazon customer with a collection of their eBooks, magazines and music and are an Amazon Prime member for access to a decent selection of free streaming movies and TV shows as well as an eBook lending library.

The Kindle Fire HD has a very sharp 7" IPS display running at 1280 x 800 resolution. It has an impressive set of stereo speakers with Dolby audio and a new slim design. The tablet runs Android OS 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, though it's well hidden from view by Amazon's custom carousel UI. It has a 1.2GHz dual core CPU with a gig of RAM and 16 or 32 gigs of storage. The Fire HD has dual band WiFi with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0 and a very good front video chat camera that works with Skype.
