The Musubo Mummy case for the Samsung Galaxy S III is a very protective case with treated TPU and comes in eight colors. As with Musubo's Retro and RubberBand cases, the Mummy case covers the back of the large Galaxy S III phone and all sides and corners. It's form fitting and very easy to install.

Design

Musubo models their cases after certain themes, and the Mummy case is modeled after the Egyptian Mummy wraps. The case is made with TPU and feels soft in hand. Though the surface is shiny, the Musubo Mummy for the Samsung Galaxy S III isn't slippery. In fact, its unique coating actually feels grippy. The case protects the large back of the Android smartphone from scratches, nicks and bumps. Since it wraps around the sides and corners, the case also can help absorb shock damage should you drop the phone while in the case. The TPU material has some flexibility, and it's quite easy to put the case on and it's not hard to take it off the phone.

The Musubo Mummy for the Samsung Galaxy S III covers the edges of the front glass of the phone, creating a nice barrier for the display when you put the phone faced down. It can certainly protect the glass from scratches or rough surface, but the case doesn't come with a screen protector. The Mummy case for the Galaxy S III comes in some really cool colors in addition to the usual black and white, including Sky Blue, Neon Magenta, Chartreuse, Purple, Red and Rose Pink.

Features

The Musubo Mummy Case for the Samsung Galaxy S III offers convenient cutouts for all the ports on the phone and covers the control buttons to protect them from wear and tear. Unlike many Galaxy S III cases, the Mummy case has separate cutouts for the rear camera, flash and speaker, and they all line up nicely. The cutout for the camera allows the full view for the lens and the flash to fully illuminate. The case has a cutout for the 3.5mm audio jack and another one for the bottom sync/charge port. You should have no trouble using headphones and charging cables while the phone is in the case. The power button and volume rocker are under the protection of the case. Though the case has raised buttons over these controls, it takes a little bit of effort to press the buttons.

As with the Musubo Retro and the Musubo RubberBand, the Mummy case comes with a small plastic stand. You can fold the plastic piece into a stand to hold your Galaxy S III up for watching movies, video chats and more. The stand, though thin and small, is actually quite effective at holding the large device.

Conclusion

The Musubo Mummy case for the Samsung Galaxy S III is a very protective case that prevents scratches, marks and even some shock damage for your smartphone. The case is easy to use and comes in a variety of colors. The TPU is sturdy and keeps shape well. The case comes with a very convenient stand to hold the phone for movie playback. It doesn't come with any screen protector however.
