After launching the speedy A620 and full built-in wireless A716 Pocket PCs, ASUS will unleash their next model the A730 at the end of July, 2004. The A730 will run on an Intel 520MHz PAX 270 processor with 64MB SDRAM (48MB user accessible) and 64MB Flash ROM. The biggest draw for this device will probably be the VGA 3.7" transflective display. Another attractive feature is the dual expansion slot: one CF and one SDIO.
The MyPAL A730 will come with built-in Bluetooth, a 1.3MP built-in camera as well as a USB client and host feature. The re-designed form factor cuts down on the bulk to 4.6 x 2.87 x 0.66 in, compared to 5.43 x 3.07 x .69 size on the A716.
The A730 will have a 1100 mAh Lithium Ion removable battery with an 1800 mAh optional battery. The A730 will run Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. There will also be another model with similiar specs but including WiFi and 128MB memory, which is scheduled to come out in August/September time frame.
