BestBuy.com, currently the only US retailer to offer the Samsung Q1 UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC, aka Origami), sold out their current inventory today. The device went up for sale yesterday on their web site. They've intermittently listed some Samsung accessories such as the carry case for $59, the keyboard for an ultra-pricey $99 but the optical drive which clamps onto the bottom hasn't yet appeared on their site. If you're looking for the Q1 on thier site, look under notebooks, not Tablets (odd since the device is a Windows XP Tablet). The Samsung Q1 is only available through their web site and not in stores, so save some gas and don't go hunting for one .
CDW.com is taking pre-orders for $1,099 Q1 and lists a shipping date of 1 to 2 weeks.
Speculation and divergent opinions on the device, centering largely on its price and lack of keyboard had us wondering how fast the Q1 would sell out. It seems that a decent number of folks found it tempting enough though, thanks to the Q1's extreme portability and fairly decent specs for a device this size and price. Perhaps if Microsoft's Origami marketing campaign hadn't touched on a $500 price point (it turns out that devices in that price range might be out a year from now, not any time soon) the UMPC might've been off to a less controversial start.
We'll be posting our review of the Samsung Q1 UMPC in a few days. In the meantime, feel free to post questions about the tablet here.

In your Q1 review please include a comment on outdoor legibity of the display. How does it compare to a PDA like the IPAQ 4700 or Motion LS800 with the view anywhere screen?
