The unit now features the Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional operating system. Among many enhancements and improvements, this new operating system is designed to help small form factor PCs run better.
Stylish enough to take anywhere, the VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC is available in an array of eye-catching colors, including champagne, garnet red, emerald green, onyx black, and crystal white. Matching carrying cases and Bluetooth color-coordinated mice are available to complete the look.
Among numerous configurations the VAIO Lifestyle PC will be sold for about $1,000 for the SSD version and $850 for the traditional hard drive model. It will be available at the end of the month online at www.sonystyle.com/pseries Sony Style stores and at other major retailers around the country.
I know I'm a bit late, but I have to compliment Lisa Gade on such a thorough, intelligent review. I've just bought a P series (half price!) and you've really helped me. A special thank you for the Cyberlink WinDVD tip - that alone is honestly worth a couple of hundred dollars. 10 minutes ago I couldn't watch full screen video without either a choppy picture with Media Player or choppy audio with VLC. Now I can! I've searched high and low in reviews and forums for a solution to this problem, and you had the answer 11 months ago! What a pity that more users of the GMA 500 haven't read your advice.

Absolutely glad to hear the Cyberlink tip worked so well for you
And for those of you with most any netbook running Intel GMA 500 integrated graphics, the Cyberlink tip posted in our review should help improve your machine's video playback performance too: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/notebooks/Sony-Vaio-P.htm .
