iPhone Game Review: Knights Rush
Reviewed by SpaZtrigger

Following the success of Knights onrush, the indie developers, Moregames have now released a new and awe-inspiring game called Knight's Rush. Where you choose one of three characters to engage in an epic quest to gain fame and unimaginable weapon of mass destruction.

Gameplay

Knight's Rush contains 4 game modes. They include tutorial mode, Campaign mode, Endless mode, and Super Endless mode. In tutorial mode you learn the basic controls and rules of the game. After you finish the tutorial you can either choose to play campaign mode or the endless and super endless mode. In campaign mode you have the option of choosing 1 of 3 knights to embark them on an epic journey in order to get the weapon of un-imaginable power. In campaign mode you have a total of 7 worlds to beat and in each world you get a part of the mystical artifact. You continue to do this until you beat all the worlds and get the mystical treasure. If you are a lazy person and want to finish campaign mode in a flash then all you have to do is reach the end of the level. You don?t need to fight all the enemies. The only bad thing is that the boss fight will become incredibly hard since you?ve missed all the leveling up that comes with fighting more enemies.

In endless and super endless mode you fight till you die. The objective in the 2 endless modes is to survive in anyway you can with whatever power-up you collect. There are two main types of power ups: some are explosives and others are spells. Using the power ups will help your journey tremendously. The gameplay feels balanced, fun and near perfect. One design flaw for players reaching high levels and want to replay boss fights is that you can?t just walk away from a boss fight, you have to collect the treasure they drop first, or you will have to restart.

Graphics

One thing that Knight's Rush is perfect at is the graphics. The graphics are polished, looks very appealing, and best of all it works great with everything else. The characters are really well designed, levels are well laid out and colors just jump out of picture. The unique style that makes Knight?s series games standout in the first game still has its magic in the second one.

Knight?s Rush has perfect controls. They are easy to get used to and don?t have any glitches.

Sound

Like you would expect, Knight's Rush has marked medieval sounding tunes that are both fun and engaging. Each level has it's own music and it fits the game very well. Not only does Knight's Rush have catchy music, it also has a variety of sound FX. From swooshes to "booms" the sound FX make the game feel whole. You will never bored with these sound bites. The game doesn?t offer the option of playing your own music, though the built-in music/sound FX will keep you ears quite busy.

Conclusion

Like its predecessor Knight's Rush is fantastic, filled with wondrous worlds, loads of baddies, and 3 epic characters. Although the game has some bugs, the gameplay, music, and graphics make up for it. We hope and suspect that future updates will fix most of the issue. But for the price, the game offers plenty of solid gameplay that will entertainment and impress.

Ratings (scale of 1 to 5):

Graphics: - 5 - Very slick and cool graphics.
Sound: - 4.5 - Epic music and sound package, some players might still like to play their own.
Controls: - 5 - Simple and responsive controls.
Gameplay: - 4.5 - Great gameplay and lots of value, but bugs are there too.

Playing Hints and Tips:

- Pick the dark knight if you feel like beating every little thing to pulp (since the knight is the strongest)

- Pick the green knight if you want to finish a level quickly (he is super fast)

- Destroy everything since everything gives you EXP (even wooden blocks)

I never thought they could do better than Knights Onrush, but they did.

That's true.
Though I can't emphasize the need of more charcaters.
