Have a need for a PDA that will act as a handheld inventory scanner. We'll be using a CF card to do the scanning and need to be connected to the WiFi network. Either need built-in WiFi or via an external card that leaves the CF slot free.
Any recommendations?
(Cheaper is better!) :-)
Thanks much!

Well, there are several PPCs on the market with WiFi: The iPAQ 4150, iPAQ 5555, ASUS A716 (we'll be reviewing that one in the next few weeks) and the now hard to find Toshiba e805. You can also go with a Pocket PC that has both CF and SD slots: as long as the SD slot supports SDIO you can use an SD WiFi card, leaving the CF slot free. The chart on the bottom of our Pocket PC 2003 comparison tells you which models have CF and SDIO slots: http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/tips/pocketpc_2003_comparison.htm
