PDA for VP (KB, big display, basic features)
      #10842 - 05/12/04 06:03 PM

He doesn't want (and wouldn't use) much beyond the basic Palm OS type software, but he has absolutely TERRIBLE handwriting. He can barely read it himself so I don't even want to think about a PDA trying to interpret it. Therefore a keyboard. Bigger display makes it easier for him, so that, too.

It seems like everything with a big display (640 x 480 or 320 x 480) has all the bells and whistles that he'd never use and would actually make him less likely to use it.

Recommendations?

I use a Tungsten T3 with a full size QWERTY keyboard. I don't like Grafitti nor on-screen keyboard. The IR keyboard is so compact and slim, I carry it with me everywhere I go. The Tungsten T3 has a hi res plus screen and very good screen. When its slider is closed, the PDA size is actually quite small and portable.

My two cents.
