I'm shopping for a PDA to replace a 4 year-old Palm V (which has been quite good). I'm currently looking at the Tungsten E and HP iPAQ 1945 (I don't have a strong preference for OS). After looking at user reviews of the two on Amazon, I'm concerned about reliability and support for both (screen cracking, apps getting "hung up", and need for resets). Are these common problems (they have not been in my Palm V), and is there any difference between Palm and HP? Any clear winner or loser? I don't want to be the one to lose:)
Thanks!

Pocket PCs generally require occasional soft resets (reboots), while this is rarer for Palm OS. But the soft resets are only minor inconveniences. If you get the Tungsten E, make sure you have the latest version of any 3rd party software you previously purchased for your old Palm, because the OS and hardware have changed quite a lot since the days of the Vx.
