Internet from Remote Locations
      #11041 - 05/18/04 10:48 AM

I'm new to PDAs, so forgive me if this is a basic question.

I'd like my field technicians to be able to go to fairly remote locations in the U.S. and use a PDA to access a specific website for information. These locations certainly aren't Wi-Fi hotspots. So how do I do it? Do I need a PDA that is also a cell phone? Do I need a Bluetooth PDA and a Bluetooth cell phone? How do I do it?

Let me know. Thanks!

A PDA combined with a cell phone (smartphone) or an add-on card for Pocket PCs with CF cards and Sprint's CF2031 card reviewed on our site would be your best bet. Or you could use a Bluetooth cell phone in conjunction with the PDA. Just make sure the mobile phone company has coverage in the areas your techs will be traveling to.
