Hi- my compaq ipaq 3670 just stopped syncing after 2.5 years. HP wants $150 to fix it, so I am back on the market for a new one. Looking for a PDA with the following features:
1) bright, color screen 2) great calendar/contact functionality 3) easy synchronization with outlook
that's really it. I don't plan to use this as a camera or an mp3 player. Thinking about TungstenE, Sony TJ27, Ipaq 1945. Should I be looking at any others? The Zire?

I just went through the same thing when my Visor Edge died after 3 years. I chose the E, although I will admit that I almost bought a Viewsonic V37-2 instead after reading all of the problems being reported on a number of forums. The main reason I stuck with Palm was because it was the same OS -- I could have synched my Contact and Calendar stuff with any PDA, but I had other things that I wanted to keep also. For you, it's the opposite, since you're on the Windows side of the fence right now.
I've had my E for over a week now, and so far, so good -- bright screen, good synching with Outlook, etc. -- I hated Graffiti2 at first (after 3 years of Graffiti), but it hasn't taken me too long to get used to it . . .
