Can anyone tell me a cheap pda second hand or not I can use to connect to a land line i.e. modem and get full web browsing capability's with out paying for the amount of data i download ( I have heard this is a setup ) I would also like to have MP3 capability's . I don't care if its color or black and white . I just want to be able to surf the web and play mp3s on the cheap . Thanks Peter

Get a Pocket PC with a CF slot. There are a few 56k landline CF modems on the market from folks like Pretec and Ambicom for Pocket PC. All Pocket PCs can play MP3s.
If you're in the US, T-Mobile has flat-rate GPRS which is much more affordable that those carriers that make you pay by the byte or meg. They have a $4.99 T-Zones plan and a $19.99 Internet plan.
