Hi! I _think_ I've narrowed my seemingly endless PDA/Pocket PC search down to the Axim X30 312/64. Now I'm wondering if it's better to buy this direct from Dell or get it at a store like Circuit City or Best Buy. Any recommendations (and reasons for them would be a big help.

Since Dell does their business mainly direct you will have a hard time to buy it from retail stores.

If you know the history of Dell, you will know that Dell built its entire business on direct sales. They do not sell their products in retail stores. In the past they've tried putting kiosks in airports, computer showcases in Sears stores...most of them have been closed down.
You can call them and see if there are still any kiosks left and their locations. Don't think there is one in the Bay Area though.
