Sorry I am new to PDA`s, so apologies if this question sounds daft! I am looking at buying the Axim 30 but as my work involves long periods in hotels overseas where I normally connect my laptop via normal telephone line (use local ISP) or on occasions connect my laptop in the business centres using network LAN. Would a PDA work in the same way, i.e. can I connect a normal telephone to it to it anyway?
I am unsure how wi-fi works and do not have a bluetooth mobile so this is my main access to the internet. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks!

You can use both the ENR Tech IR modem reviewed here: http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/tips/enrtech_modem.htm , and their Bluetooth external modem reivewed here http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/tips/BlueGate_BT_modem.htm if you have an X30 with Bluetooth. Both work quite well.

is there a cheap version that uses wires, or is IR the cheapest way to go?
