New to the board and so far have been impressed with the wealth of information contained here. I'm looking for a pda that will allow me to login to my servers. I've seen the HP Ipaqs and the dell axims do the trick. In areas where there is no wireless available i'd have to use a phone to access the internet. Quetions:
1) Which PDA with terminal server, VPN, remote access software for desktops is more recommended? 2) Should i go the bluetooth way (bluetooth phone as modem for pda) or a pda phone? 3) what about antivirus software for these pdas?
Thanks

The Dell Axim X30 and the iPAQs are very popular and good quality units.
A Bluetooth phone would certainly do the trick. You could use a Pocket PC phone too- it depends on whether you prefer convergence devices or dedicated ones. Do you mind talking to a Pocket PC rather than a standard mobile phone for instance.
So far, there have been no real PDA virii-- only one proof on concept on which never circulated much and required that you tap an OK button to install the virus! Not much of a threat.
