I am looking for my 1st PDA. Personal use for now. A place to supplement my human memory. I would like something I can create, edit and sync word files to my home computer with notes, to-do's etc. I'm somewhat overwhelmed with all the choices and mcy not be using the right terms. I don't know if I need a PDA or a PPC??? ANy help is greatly appreciated.

A PPC is a PDA. PDA (personal digital assistant) is the general name for handheld computers. Maybe you mean Palm vs. PPC? Both will handle Word documents just fine, along with notes, to-do, calendar and contacts data.
