I'm upgrading from my old palm IIIx to the TJ37. Can someone either point me in the direction or assist me with the process of making sure all my info from my old palm is transferred to the Sony? Also, I used to sync my palm with my laptop through the IR port. Will I still be able to do this with the TJ37?

Yes, you can sync using the IR port. The Sony manual should include instructions on how to upgrade to a new Clie. PalmOne also has a nice walk-through on the subject (take a look at their support section).
