What Should a Dyslexic Buy? (Seriously!)
      #14801 - 08/26/04 04:32 PM

My ninth grader is very bright - she's also dyslexic and ADD. Her counselor has recommended she get a PDA to keep track of assignments and be reminded of her work. Does this make sense and if so which one should we get? Many thanks for your help!

Sure it makes sense-- the device can help her stay on track with reminders, and she might find it fun too, so she'll actually take it with her everywhere and make great use of it. As far as dyslexia, I am a mild dyslexic and one PDA isn't better than another in that respect. I'd say go with whatever suits your budget, as all PDAs can handle reminders, calendars and scheduling well.

I really appreciate your help and your personal knowledge! We got her a Zire 31. Not the fanciest but everything she needs without a lot to distract her. Your reply was a big help
