I'm new here and I did a quick search but didn't find anything. I'm proposing at my work to use PDA's to enter data in our inspection department. This would consist primarily of recording data into an Excel-compatible spreadsheet, preferably a template, and downloading onto our network. Are standard PDA's useful for lots of numerical entry or is there a better solution? Maybe a small numeric keypad? They would be entering literally hundreds of numbers at a time, so even a few seconds of saving per number is helpful. I don't want a full size keyboard as the space saving in a crowded shop is one of the assests of a PDA.
