text reader? --- question from newbie

I just got a Dell Axim X30 and am looking for a good way to read text files. Does microsoft reader do this, or does this only work with ebooks produced for this program? I looked at speed reader plus, but can't get used to seeing one word at a time without context. Would appreciate any and all ideas. Elizabeth

Pocket Word that comes with the Dell can read text files.
