e400 against T|E
      #15240 - 09/08/04 03:21 PM

I have been debating for some time now whether I should get the Toshiba e400 or the Palm Tungsten E. I am torn. The e400 has a windows-based OS which is cool, but I have heard that the reliability is the same as a Windows desktop pc: not good. It will crash and lock-up and do all the things that the desktops do. The e400 has a voice recorder and voice command, which will be useful (not to mention cool). The T|E has the same things that the toshiba has - the voice recording and voice command. The T|E is cheaper, so I really don't know what to get. I need help deciding. I am going to use it for some video viewing, a lot of mp3 listening, tons of notetaking and recording dates, and putting things on the todo list. I have done my homework on both, so some help would be great. Thank you

The Tungsten E doesn't have the voice command feature, so you would lose that cool feature.

Pocket PCs aren't that unstable and are generally better than Windows desktops. Most of the time a simple soft reset (reboot) fixes the problem.
